JP was a former Associate Professor of Bluegrass & Traditional Music at Hazard Community College with over 15 years of experience in teaching banjo and acoustic guitar. The JP Mathes Band is also available for private music performances (Weddings, corporate events, private parties, etc.), personal appearances, and endorsements.
